The Fort Osage Fire Protection District is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter
Paramedic. This is an outstanding opportunity for dynamic professionals to become valued members
of an innovative, progressive, fire district. The Firefighter Paramedic will work as a team member in
functions of emergency medical services and fire suppression operations, in both emergency and nonemergency
operations. Individuals hired shall be able to work as a driver/operator for both fire and
ambulance type apparatus.

Under the supervision of the Fire Captain, a Firefighter/Paramedic’s responsibilities include daily
support of shift operations in emergency and non-emergency functions, directing personnel in the
assessment and treatment of sick or injured people, assist with maintaining buildings, grounds,
equipment, and apparatus, and assisting with Community Risk Reduction programs along with other
members of the fire company. Work shift: 24 on/48 off.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must possess and maintain Missouri Paramedic License
• State Certification of Firefighter 1 & 2
• State Certification of Hazardous Materials Awareness & Operations

The Fort Osage Fire Protection District provides an excellent compensation, benefits, retirement
package, and educational incentives to include an annual $10,000 incentive for Paramedics. All new
