The Sedalia Fire Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Fire Fighter. All applicants must be 21 yrs. of age at time of job offer, have a High School Diploma or GED, Missouri Fire Fighter I & II Certifications at the time of application, copies to be submitted with application. A current CPAT certificate will be required at the time of offer of employment in addition to passing a background check and pre-employment physical. You will be required to possess a Missouri EMT-B license and Missouri CPS Child car seat installer certificate by completion of first year of employment and, as a condition of employment. Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications listed above will take a progressive testing procedure to include a written test, Oral Review Board, and background check. Preference will be given to applicants who currently possess a current EMT license.
Applications will be accepted from June 10th 2019 until 4:00 pm, Friday July 5th, 2019. Applicants meeting the requirements will be notified of the written test date and location by email. Please make sure that all required copies of certifications are included with the application as well you may submit a resume with application.
All applications may be obtained from the Personnel Office or on the City of Sedalia’s website, and should be submitted to: Personnel Office, Attention Alice Kemp, Personnel Specialist, 200 S. Osage Avenue, Sedalia, MO 65301. NO APPS will be accepted at Sedalia Fire Stations.
This testing will be used to establish an eligibility list for vacancies that may occur over the next 12 months. At this time the Sedalia Fire Department has 1 immediate opening.
