Auxiliary Meeting Minutes – November 2020

The meeting was called to order by President Jessica Miller at 9:00 a.m.

Members Present
Jessica Miller, Norborne FPD; Sheri Berendzen, Cole Co FPD; Carrisa Thompson, Holts Summit FPD; Joni Fields, Paris Rural FD; Ann Jones, Madison West Monroe FPD; Joyce Thompson, Kearney Fire and Rescue.

Minutes
Jessica Miller asked if there were any changes, comments, or corrections for the August 9, 2020 meeting minutes. Joni Field made a motion to accept the meeting notes as written, seconded by Carrisa Thompson, motion passed.

Financial report
Sheri Berendzen read the report with a beginning balance of $4,590.37 in our account at the closing of the August meeting. There was one deposit for a total of $35.00 and 0 expenses and a new balance of $4,625.37. Ann Jones made a motion to accept the financial report, seconded by Joyce Thompson, motion passed.

Committee Reports

Membership
There was no membership report available at this time.

Nomination
There was not nomination report at this time because we just had elections.

Contest
Sheri had nothing to report on at this time.

Historian
Carrisa is in charge of Facebook and needs to get in touch with Chris Turner to find out what needs to be done.

Sargent-at-Arms
Ann Jones has nothing to report on.

Auxiliary Member or Auxiliary of the year
Jessica Miller stated that the picked person(s) will be put on hold until next year.

Poster contest
The winner was posted in the newsletter.

Convention
This year convention was canceled because of the coronavirus. Next year it will be held in Kearney dates TBA.

Memorial Service
The service has been rescheduled to October 11th at 10:30 a.m. and it will be virtual. More information is posted in the newsletter on page 6.

Media Policy
Nothing new is available at this time it is still being worked on by the FFAM.

Old Business
It was discussed on doing a raffle for fundraising. Carrisa has some items to be added to the raffle. Carrisa asked for funds to purchase a grill and a few other items. Talked about starting to sell tickets at Winter Fire School and announce winners after the convention. Ann Jones made a motion to give funds for purchasing a grill and print tickets, seconded by Joyce Thompson, motion passed.

New Business
Carrisa talked about conference call software and the cost. She is going to do more work on it.

Joyce Thompson made a motion to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Carrisa Thompson. The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be on December 6 at 9:24 a.m. in Sedalia, MO.
