The Division of Fire Safety/Office of the State Fire Marshal will work with Missouri’s fire service and other partners to provide a safer environment for the citizens and visitors of Missouri by minimizing the threat of death, injury and property loss.
The Division of Fire Safety/Office of the State Fire Marshal provides proactive statutory enforcement, regulatory oversight and education to protect all lives and property from the devastation of fires, explosions and life safety perils.
The Missouri Division of Fire Safety is pleased to join the National effort to address the increasing challenges facing volunteer firefighter recruitment. This effort is designed to educate, promote and advertise the need for volunteer firefighters throughout our communities. To facilitate the effort, the Division is utilizing an existing toll-free telephone number which provides the public with a means to inquire and learn about Missouri’s volunteer fire service, as well as how to identify and contact their local volunteer fire department.
The link below provides additional information about this new avenue to raise awareness and educate the public on the critical importance of Missouri’s volunteer fire service.
